The Company:
A highly reputable, award-winning and established home building company, based in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, due to strong growth into 2025 and beyond are now looking to hire an experienced Senior Sales Consultant to join their exceptional sales team working within a brand new display centre in Melbourne's South East and working as a brand ambassador for the companies mid & higher end product range and working closely with an excellent client base.
Purpose of the role:
The primary responsibility of the New Home Sales Consultant is to facilitate the
sale of a broad range of homes and to guide clients through the home building journey.
- Mobile Phone: Apple iPhone or equivalent provided
- Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad or equivalent provided
- Marketing Materials: Significant marketing support and budget provided to setup success
- Hours of Operation: Saturday-Wednesday: 10.00am to 5.00pm
- Location: Clyde Corridor
- Displays: 2 Display Homes initially and then progressing to 4 display homes in 2026
- Support: A full-time sales associate and host will be allocated and provided to offer continuous support to the successful candidate
Ideal Candidate Profile/The Successful Candidate will:
- Industry Knowledge - Demonstrate a solid understanding of Construction Codes and Practices, including Knock Down Rebuilds, Residential Codes, and New Development Guidelines.
- Technical Proficiency - Be experienced in industry-specific software such as HubSpot CRM, GeoSite, and Framework.
- Product Familiarity – Work toward having an in-depth understanding of the company's designs, specifications, inclusions, promotions, and pricing, including base prices of available options.
- Competitive Insight - Develop knowledge of the unique features and benefits of building with the company, while also being aware of competitors’ offerings.
- Lead Generation Motivation - Show a proactive approach to lead generation, adaptable to both “boom” and “bust” property markets.
- Construction Documentation Expertise - Be familiar with all construction paperwork, including master drawings, quotations, siting specifications, block inspections, land requirements, finance qualification documents, and land contracts.
- Client & Database Management - Capably manage a portfolio of listings on RealEstate.com.au, maintain client databases, and build a significant sales pipeline to achieve sales targets and other KPIs.
- Display Maintenance - Ensure the presentation of display homes with regular internal and external checks.
- Land Sourcing - Maintain strong relationships with land agents through weekly visits to source land for clients.
- Adherence to Procedures - Follow all procedures and processes outlined in the company's "Sales Consultant Manual & Workflow" document
Full Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Exhibit an established knowledge of Construction Codes & Practices, including but not limited to Knock Down Rebuilds, Residential Code and New Development Guidelines.
- Working with job-specific software: namely Hub Spot CRM, GeoSite and Framework.
- Becoming familiar with the base price of available company designs, specifications, inclusions, promotions, and pricing.
- Becoming familiar with the differentiating products, features and benefits of building with the company in the context of other industry competitors.
- Being motivated to generate leads via an exponential level of expertise that can be adapted in both “boom” or “bust” property markets.
- Ability to customise designs & communicate clearly to the builder and documenting alterations to ensure accurate pricing.
- Understanding of all construction paperwork, including master drawings, quotations, siting specifications, block inspections, land requirements, finance qualification documents and land contracts.
- Be capable of managing Real Estate.com.au listing portfolio and client relationship databases with the view of compiling a significant sales pipeline, for the purpose of surpassing set sales targets and other key performance Indicators.
- Maintaining the presentation of displays via daily internal & external spot checks.
- Assisting/recommending clients with various finance options.
- Sourcing land for clients, maintaining strong relationships via weekly visits to land agents.
- Ensuring sales office and land sales centres are stocked with marketing material and house and land packages.
- Conducting walkthroughs of the display homes and homes under construction with potential clients.
- Guiding clients through the new homebuying experience, ensuring you ask the correct questions, and you provide appropriate information on all tender documentation to maximise the likelihood of a seamless journey from tender through to contract signing.
- Follow all of the company's procedures & processes as outlined in the ‘Sales Consultant Manual & Workflow’ document.
