ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
KSC Claims is growing! Due to increasing demand, we’re seeking a talented Receptionist to support veterans navigating some of the most complex and sensitive DVA claims, including those involving abuse and trauma. This vital role ensures veterans receive the care, respect, and advocacy they deserve from their very first contact with us.
As our Receptionist, you will be a trusted guide—welcoming veterans, managing their appointments, and helping them through intricate claim processes with professionalism, empathy, and unwavering support. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to make sure every claim is handled with the utmost care and efficiency.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
🔹 Engage & Guide – Act as the first point of contact, providing clear and compassionate guidance on claims processes, required documentation, and available support.
🔹 Book & Manage Appointments – Coordinate veterans’ appointments smoothly, ensuring timely access to our advocacy team.
🔹 Triage & Prioritise – Assess veterans’ needs and ensure urgent or complex cases receive the right priority.
🔹 Communicate with Empathy – Maintain transparent and compassionate communication via phone, email, and in person to keep veterans informed and supported.
🔹 Liaise & Coordinate – Work alongside internal teams, the DVA, and external providers to streamline claim progression and support pathways.
🔹 Manage Correspondence – Handle sensitive documents, reports, and case updates accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality.

ABOUT YOU
You bring experience working with veterans, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), or as a former ADF member, giving you a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges within veteran claims.
Clear and Compassionate Communicator – You confidently engage with veterans and stakeholders, providing a welcoming, professional, and empathetic first point of contact.
Trust Builder – You know how to create a positive connection, offering reassurance and support through what can be a complex and emotional claims journey.
Highly Organised and Detail-Focused – You manage multiple enquiries, keep appointments and records precise, and ensure all details are captured accurately.
Tech-Savvy and Efficient – You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital communication tools, adapting quickly to new software or systems.
Proactive Team Player – You work well independently and collaboratively, always looking to streamline front-desk processes and improve client experience.
Problem Solver with a Keen Eye – You notice important details and help direct queries efficiently to the right team members to keep claims moving smoothly.
