Temporary Contract
58 minimum - 67 Hours per fortnight
Salary range $33.41 - $36.46 per hour

About Graham House
Graham House Community Centre is located in Murgon, Qld and services the South Burnett region. Graham House provides a range of services to meet the needs of our community. We are looking for someone with a friendly attitude, calm demeanour and the ability to multitask to serve as our front desk receptionist. In this position, you will greet guests entering the building, manage phone calls and perform a range of front-of-house duties.
This is a temporary contract to 27 February 2026 with the possibility of extension. Start date to be negotiated.
Job Responsibilities
§ Greet people entering the building, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, answering any questions, providing directions, and alerting staff when someone is there to meet or visit them
§ Answer telephone calls, route them to the appropriate extension or take accurate messages and delivering them promptly
§ Maintain accurate records of reception interactions for statistical purposes
§ Assist Centrelink customers when required and within the role of our Centrelink Agency. This task requires security clearance by Services Australia and Centrelink Agency training
§ Handle filing, data entry and other administrative duties as requested
§ Availability to back-fill other staff when required.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
1. Relevant expertise and experience attained through previous appointment, Certificate III or higher in relevant areas and/or life experience.
2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with managers, staff members, clients and a range of community and government stakeholders both verbally and through written media such as emails.
3. Excellent time management, stress management and problem solving skills.
4. Demonstrated computer and associated software skills.
5. Successful Criminal History Check.
6. Current Suitability Blue/Positive Notice card.
7. Current Open ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
