About the role

Join our growing HR consulting team at The HR Cartel as a Senior HR Advisor. Based in our Bundall, Queensland office, with Work From Home options every Monday and Friday, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional HR consulting services to our small and medium sized business clients. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in human resources and join our team in a lead role, as we begin our growth phase, with big future plans.

What you'll be doing

Taking a lead role in the team, with 2 other HR Advisors providing tailored HR advice and support to clients on a range of generalist HR matters

Oversee, develop and implement HR frameworks, policies, and fit-for-purpose / best practices

Conduct HR audits and provide recommendations for compliance, risk, and process improvements

Support a portfolio of clients with entire employee-life-cycle HR matters

Deliver HR in a manner that promotes training and development, to enhance client capabilities

Collaborate and lead the consulting team to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery

Stay up-to-date with the latest HR trends, legislation, and industry best practices

Gain exposure to Industrial Relations work and projects, including union engagement, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Fair Work Commission matters, and more.

What we're looking for

Experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a consulting or advisory capacity

Strong knowledge of HR risk, employment legislation, and HR-related processes

Understanding of Fair Work Commission decisions, and ability to interpret case law for small and medium sized businesses

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients

Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address client HR challenges

Demonstrated experience in taking the lead with HR initiatives, among peers or colleagues

Flexibility and adaptability to work across a diverse range of client organisations and industries

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline - or, equivalent experience
