About our team
The People Systems Team provide systems support and HR services at BCE. The People Systems Team manages post-employment offer support, such as contracts and are involved in the implementation of Ignite, a world-class Human Resources Information System (HRIS) designed to support safeguarding, performance, and engagement, and streamline ways of working across the employee lifecycle.
Summary
We're excited to be building a new team to support the recent implementation of our HRIS system—an important step forward in transforming how we deliver HR services across BCE.
As the Senior Officer - HR Services, under the guidance of the Senior HR Advisor you will play a key role in shaping this new function. From leading day-to-day HR operations to actively contributing to the development and optimisation of our newly introduced HRIS, this role offers a unique blend of strategic influence and hands-on responsibility. You'll help establish a high-performing, customer-focused team that drives service excellence and continuous improvement.

- Salary: $103,595 - $115,100 plus super

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Supervise, coach, and develop a high-performing HR Services team.
- Manage team workload and adapt operations to meet seasonal and transactional demands.
- Provide expert advice on HR legislation, policies, and HRIS navigation.
- Act as the escalation point for complex HR and operational issues.
- Contribute to the development of HR processes and training resources.
- Identify and implement HRIS improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Resolve complex issues within delegated authority where precedents are unclear.
- Collaborate across the broader Talent and People Services (TaPS) team to support shared goals and training initiatives.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Demonstrated experience in HR services, HRIS or payroll systems.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing demands.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Experience with SuccessFactors (highly regarded)
- Certificate or Diploma qualifications in a related field (highly regarded).
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.
