About us

Lums Wine Bar is a boutique wine bar offering a curated range of wines and speciality cuisine. We provide an excellent location for small dinner dates to special events such as birthdays, wedding event or functions with our beautiful space, exceptional service and food.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a deep passion for culinary excellence and a track record of delivering high-quality food in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications & experience

Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.

Previous experience in Spanish cuisine and functions.

Proven experience as a Chef in quality establishments.

Knowledgeable and passionate about all aspects of food and food preparation, along with understanding local producers and suppliers.

Excellent knowledge of HACCP, food safety and best practices.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Confident in Back-of-House systems, financial systems & Occupational Health and Safety.

Comfortable assisting Head Chef with all kitchen operations including menu creation, stock ordering and training other staff (when required).

Proof of right to work in Australia.

You will be required to obtain a National Police Check.

Tasks & responsibilities

Daily kitchen operations.

Preparing and cooking menu items.

Setting up and packing down of kitchen.

Keeping kitchen clean and tidy.

Assisting in planning and executing menu.

Assisting with rostering and stock control.

Supervising, training, and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Promoting a positive and productive team environment.

Complying with all food hygiene regulations.

Remuneration & Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a remuneration package of between $75,000 to $80,000 + superannuation, relevant to experience.
