The Role
As a Software Support Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the success and satisfaction of our customers by delivering responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly support. You will be the first point of contact for customer inquiries, and your work will have a direct impact on the day-to-day experience of growers using our platform.
This is a full-time, fully remote position. While standard working hours are approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (your local time), some flexibility is required to respond to occasional after-hours support needs.
This role also includes contributing to our social media presence, helping share product updates, tips, and customer success stories. You’ll work with the team to create helpful, engaging content that supports and grows our community.
This role includes some travel to growers (primarily within Australia) to assist with on-site deployment, training, and support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to support queries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner
Troubleshoot customer issues and work closely with the product team to resolve technical problems
Provide onboarding support and training to new customers
Travel to grower sites to assist with deployment, training, and support
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions using our support ticketing system
Create and maintain clear and concise support documentation and user guides
Assist with testing new features before release and provide feedback to the development team
Suggest improvements to the user experience and contribute ideas for platform enhancement
Create basic wireframes or user interface mock-ups to communicate feedback or new ideas
Advocate for the customer internally, ensuring their needs are considered in product decisions
Assist with managing our social media accounts (e.g., scheduling posts, responding to comments, sharing updates)
What We’re Looking For
A self-motivated individual with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a user-friendly way
Strong general computer literacy and an ability to quickly learn new software
A genuine interest in technology, particularly in software design or development
Comfortable with occasional travel to rural areas
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected with a collaborative team
Previous experience in a customer support or help desk role is helpful, but not essential
