Our successful client is a gourmet food producer, distributor and marketer with modern premises in Osborne Park. This is a growing business with 15 years of trading and national and international clients. Proudly WA-owned, the expanding business means a new member of staff is needed to assist with a varied and interesting key role, working with a small and friendly team in a hands-on position.

If you have previous experience working in the food production sector and you enjoy being organised and physically active, this is a great opportunity to expand and grow your skills. With a focus on hygiene, safety, efficiency and team work, this is your chance to secure a permanent, full-time role (with some flexibility if required), paying a generous salary that reflects your skills and experience.

Some key functions of the role include:

· Overseeing casual workers, training and directing their duties

· Assisting the Production Supervisor in preparation of ingredients, maintaining a clean and safe working environment and meeting delivery deadlines

· Assisting with completion of paperwork, keeping accurate records, labelling of goods and preparing products for shipment

· Be able to follow instructions and procedures and meet deadlines while solving problems, thinking pro-actively and being a true team player

· Receiving goods and checking quality of parts and ingredients

· Picking and packing products for delivery and liaising with delivery companies

· Maintaining a tidy and organised warehouse and overseeing stock control as required.

· Be able to do some light lifting from time to time and use some simple machinery such as labellers, a manual lifter etc

· Previous experience in a production/warehousing role – preferably in the food sector

· Be able to provide a Police Clearance

· Be fit and healthy, able to do some light lifting from time to time

· Have a clean C Class licence

· Be happy to work as part of a team

· Have full, long-term working rights in Australia and be currently living in WA

· Have excellent communication skills
