About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, this full-time Civil Engineering Draftsperson role will be based in our Dandenong South manufacturing unit. As a key member of the Engineering team at A-Line Building Systems Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial part in the design and delivery of our innovative commercial & industrial construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Produce detailed civil engineering drawings, including site plans, profiles, sections and details, using CAD software

Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to interpret design briefs and technical specifications

Assist with the preparation of engineering documentation, including reports, calculations and specifications

Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve queries

Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations and best practices in civil engineering drafting

Provide mentoring and guidance to junior drafting team members as required

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar civil engineering drafting role, preferably in the commercial construction industry

Proficient in using AutoCAD and other design software to produce accurate and detailed engineering drawings

Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, design standards and construction methods

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Collaborative team player with a proactive problem-solving attitude
