About the Role

As a Civil Engineer at Lanco Homes, you will be responsible for applying engineering principles to the planning, design, and execution of our residential development projects, ensuring compliance with building standards and environmental sustainability.

Key Duties:

Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project briefs to determine engineering requirements and design parameters.

Analyse survey, mapping, and materials-testing data to inform design and construction planning.

Prepare and review engineering designs, plans, and documentation for foundations, earthworks, and structural components of residential projects.

Plan, design, and coordinate construction activities for structures such as roads, drainage systems, retaining walls, and residential building platforms.

Estimate material quantities, costings, and project timelines; monitor progress to ensure budgetary and time constraints are met.

Supervise the on-site construction process and ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Liaise with architects, other engineers, contractors, and local councils to obtain permits and ensure regulatory compliance.

Conduct inspections and technical evaluations to identify any design or structural issues and recommend corrective actions.

Apply engineering software and modelling tools to simulate and analyse civil systems and construction methods.

Oversee quality assurance and risk management processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

A recognised degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline (required).

Minimum 2 years’ experience in civil engineering, preferably in residential or land development projects.

Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of local and national building codes and regulations.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
