TBS Services Group is fortunate to be continuing our sustained growth with an increase in commercial projects and as such have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the talented team at TBS Services Group as a full-time HVAC drafts person. You will play a key role in the engineering and design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for a range of commercial and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for HVAC systems, including duct work, equipment layouts and piping

Interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications

Supporting the engineering team in the design and specification of HVAC systems

Liaising with clients, contractors and on site project teams to understand project requirements

Ensuring drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards and company policies

Collaborating with the wider engineering team and site project teams to optimise designs and improve efficiency

Maintaining accurate records and documentation including revisions throughout the project

Requirements

Formal qualifications in engineering drafting, such as a Diploma or Certificate IV

Proven experience as a HVAC drafts person, ideally within a consulting engineering environment

Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit

Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and specifications

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
