About the Role

As the Workplace Relations Specialist, you will:

Provide expert guidance on employee relations, employment law, and award interpretation.

Lead or assist with investigations, disciplinary matters, Code of Conduct complaints, and change processes.

Support leaders to effectively manage performance, conflict, and risk.

Liaise with unions, legal advisors, and external investigators.

Oversee the internal Consultative Committee and contribute to policy development and training.

Develop and deliver support to strengthen manager and P&C capability in employment practices and issue resolution.

What You’ll Bring

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Industrial Relations, Employment Law, Human Resources or related discipline.

Strong demonstrated experience in employee and industrial relations, ideally in a Local or State Government sector or diverse unionised environment.

Significant experience in workplace investigations and reporting.

Confidence in handling complex matters with discretion and procedural fairness.

Excellent communication, negotiation and coaching skills.

Desirable

Experience in WHS and Workers Compensation related matters.

Post Graduate Qualifications in employment law.
