The Opportunity

We are currently seeking applications for an experienced Quarry Manager who is looking for the opportunity to be empowered to utilise their skills, delivering site Safety, Maintenance and Operational targets. Implementing and mentoring step change processes into the business maximizing opportunities. This can be business manager role to the right applicant with bottom line accountability and responsibility. A flexible salary package can be negotiated that reflects your contribution to the business.

Reporting to the General Manager you will be accountable for the overall performance of the quarry operation. The role will require but is not limited to:

Ensuring site commitment to regulatory compliance and engagement

Motivating and leading employees and contractors to achieve business results

Maintaining and identifying systems to further improve business outcomes

Safely managing maintenance to a unit rate while achieving production targets

Developing and executing monthly production/maintenance plans to service business & customer needs

Collecting, displaying and utilising data with workforce engagement for improved outcomes

Conducting weekly meetings with key stakeholders

Requirements:

Current Tier 2 Quarry Manager Practicing Certificate

Prior hard rock Quarry Management

Experience with mobile crushing

Six Sigma or Lean knowledge

Contractor Management Experience

Experience in managing and processing of recycled products

Cert IV training accreditation in a relevant field would be well regarded

Essential

The applicant will need experience in structured safety systems and ensure that these systems are maintained to meet both internal and external requirements. This is an empowered role that will require cross functional skills with a drive to achieve expected outcomes.
