Business Development Manager - genU Training
Not-for-Profit: Salary package up to $15,900 per annum each FBT year plus further meals and entertainment benefits up to $2,649 per annum
Location: Flexible (Victoria-based preferred) - Full time ongoing position
About the Role
genU Training is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to grow and strengthen our impact across Australia's training and employment sectors.
This role focuses on building strategic partnerships and identifying opportunities to grow the reach and purpose-driven outcomes of our training portfolio, including programs tailored to Disability Employment Services (DES), NDIS participants, specialist schools, and community service organisations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships across a range of sectors and regions
- Implementing business development strategies at a state and national level
- Identifying gaps in the market and contributing to product development
- Managing a healthy revenue pipeline and maintaining accurate records in Salesforce
- Supporting proposal writing, business case development, and contract submissions
- Acting as a key representative of genU Training in meetings and events
Travel is a core part of this role, with regular local and interstate travel required to build connections and represent genU Training effectively.
About You
You bring strong experience in business development within the Employment Services or NDIS sectors, and you understand the importance of inclusive training pathways that meet real community needs.
You're outcome-focused, organised, and thrive on building meaningful, professional relationships. You're equally confident working independently or as part of a collaborative team, and you bring curiosity, initiative, and professionalism to every interaction.
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the Employment Services or related sector
- Strong understanding of NDIS frameworks and community engagement
- Familiarity with accredited training and units of competency
- Proven organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable with local and interstate travel
- Confident using digital systems and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
- A current valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable:
- Experience within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
- Background in allied health or community services engagement
