Edstein is a family owned and operated stone masonry business providing stone benchtop and monumental services to the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid North coast. Edstein have become market leaders in our industry using the latest materials, software, machinery and equipment that is forever evolving. Edstein is partnered with Australia's leading stone suppliers, builders and kitchen manufactures.

Things you will be doing

As a Stone Installation leading hand, you will lead an install crew of 2 or 3 team members daily while ensuring the highest standards in the installation process. You will provide guidance and hands-on support to your team and oversee onsite operations from start to finish.

Lead the Installation Process: Carry out and coordinate the installation of stone benchtops & surfaces, ensuring quality standards are met. Provide guidance to team members and assist with technical challenges on-site. Visit multiple renovation and construction sites, ensuring jobs are prepared and completed on time and to specification.

Efficiency: Manage time, tools, and team resources effectively to ensure productivity and job flow.

Reading & Interpreting Plans: Guide your team in interpreting building plans and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and a seamless workflow.

Vehicle & Crane Operation: Ensure that all team members are properly trained and equipped to safely load, operate, and maintain installation vehicles and cranes.

Tool Use & Job Quality: Oversee the safe use of hand tools and power tools on-site, ensuring all jobs are finished to the highest quality standards.

Team Leadership & Development: Foster a positive and efficient team environment, providing support and training to less experienced members. Promote collaboration and ensure that everyone is aligned with the team’s goals.

Customer Service Excellence & Communication: Provide excellent customer service by delivering solutions quickly and efficiently. Ensure the best possible outcomes for every client. Have excellent communication with internal team members, other trades & clients.

Essential Skills and Attributes

If you are self motivated and keen to learn we are keen to teach you all there is to know about the Art of Stone. What we desire is:

Trade qualification (cabinetmaking, carpentry, or similar)

Previous experience installing kitchens or benchtops

Valid New South Wales drivers licence and OHS Construction Industry Induction Card.

LR Truck licence desirable but not compulsory.

A good attitude, not afraid to have a go and quick learner.

A team player.

Someone who presents well and has good communication skills.
