Job Title: SHEQ Advisor
Location: Townsville, QLD
Pay Rate: $55-60hr
Hours: 7am - 5pm
Contract Length: 3 Months possible extension until Jan. 2026

Job Description:
The SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Advisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and standards. This role involves supporting operational teams, conducting audits and inspections, promoting a strong safety culture, delivering training, and advising on best practices to reduce risk and improve performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures.

Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Deliver SHEQ training and awareness sessions.

Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management.

Promote a proactive SHEQ culture across the organization.

Requirements:

Knowledge of SHEQ legislation and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).

Experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.

3-5 years experience in a similar role
