Public Sector People are working with a government organisation in Brisbane SOUTH COAST REGION, who are seeking an experienced A06 Safety Advisor on a 12 month Temp contract with opportunity plus extensions.

Attractive pay rates of $75-$80 per hour + Super

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Coordinate and manage a broad range of health, safety and wellbeing projects to ensure continuous improvement of the department’s Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS) to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Assist with the management and implementation of multiple initiatives to ensure quality project outcomes meet stakeholder objectives.
• Perform a frontline advisory and support role to project and contract managers within the Infrastructure Management and Delivery (IMD) division of South Coast Region, providing expert contractor safety assurance advice and support.
• The role will focus on the monitoring of external principal contractors and their health and safety performance on projects.

About you:

• Proven success in delivering training sessions on leadership development, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage diverse stakeholders
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to assess WHS effectiveness, monitor learning initiatives, and enhance program delivery.
