THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $66,921 - $72,661 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction and Position Status: Part-Time 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week), Fixed-Term contract of employment until June 2026.
Location: Chadstone campus - onsite parking and close proximity to public transport.
Brand, Marketing and Communications is a centralised, expert-driven function at Holmesglen, focused on maintaining the Institute’s leadership in vocational education and training, both in Australia and internationally. Our team is dynamic and collaborative, working across various functions, both internally and externally, to ensure a high standard of service and execution. Through our work in Brand, Digital Engagement, Communications, Events, and Design, we contribute significantly to the success of Holmesglen’s strategic goals.
You will provide professional, high-level administrative support to the Associate Director – Brand, Marketing and Communications, the Head of Student Recruitment, and other reporting managers. Your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of administrative processes across teams. You will facilitate effective communication between these departments and a range of internal faculties, external suppliers, and industry partners, ensuring everyone stays connected and informed. In addition, you will lead office administration and workplace health and safety initiatives for the department, while providing secretariat support for project, strategy, and faculty meetings, helping to keep operations organised and on track.
ABOUT YOU
- Degree in business administration or similar tertiary qualification in business, administration or related field, and relevant work experience preferably in the education sector.
- Lesser qualifications and significant relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience at a senior level in the provision of administrative support including the ability to plan and organise systems of work and effectively manage time to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Demonstrated self-motivation with the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality, work cooperatively and flexibly and organise multiple tasks with competing demands.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, written and verbal communications skills and customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with clients, senior stakeholders and work colleagues.
- Demonstrated organisational, time management and administrative skills, with the ability to use initiative, accept responsibility and function effectively with limited or no supervision.
