A fantastic opportunity exists to join Adelaide Pool Patrol, SA's largest independent pool maintenance company.
This role is based in our retail shop, warehouse & selection centre in Somerton Park.
This position plays a vital role in the company's everyday functioning, and we are in search of a dependable, reliable and enthusiastic individual to fill it.
This is a Full Time 9am-5pm role with some Saturday work required.
Experience in the pool industry is desirable however not essential as training will be provided.
Job Summary:
The Sales and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing aspects of retail, sales and inventory management within APP. This role involves the generation and follow-up of sales inquiries, whilst monitoring and optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient operations to meet customer demand while minimizing costs. The Sales and Inventory Manager plays a critical role in achieving revenue targets and maintaining optimal inventory turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
Support Retail, Service and Renovation/Build teams to meet and exceed sales targets.
Maximise retail sales opportunity through efficient daily retail operations.
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
Monitor sales performance, analyse sales data, and prepare inventory forecast requirements.
Foster strong customer relationships and collaborate with key suppliers.
Inventory Management:
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to ensure product availability.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
Forecasting and Planning:
Analyse market trends, customer demand, and historical sales data to forecast future sales and inventory needs.
Collaborate with service and renovation teams to align procurement with sales forecasts.
Ensure inventory is balanced to meet customer demand without overstocking or understocking.
Supplier and Vendor Relations:
Negotiate terms and agreements with suppliers and vendors.
Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for cost savings.
Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve sales and inventory management processes.
Identify and implement automation and software solutions to enhance efficiency.
Streamline order fulfillment processes to reduce lead times.
Preferred experience:
Proven experience in sales and inventory management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Strong customer service skills, with effective communication, urgency, adaptability and problem solving attitude.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of supply chain best practices and inventory control methods.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with industry-specific inventory management tools.
Experience in implementing and managing sales CRM software.
