The Opportunity:
Entering a new phase of growth, we're seeking a driven and passionate Business Development Manager to join our sales team in Melbourne. This role will be critical in growing our On-Premise, International Hotel and Independent Retail channel sales within the vibrant Melbourne hospitality scene. If you are passionate about wine and drinks, enjoy a high level of ownership with responsibility for driving and delivering sales within your own territory, being part of a supportive team at a State and National level and want the opportunity to access a lucrative compensation package, then we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the wholesale channel, including restaurants, bars, hotels, Independent liquor stores, pubs and clubs
Develop and implement business development strategies to meet individual, State and business performance goals, including responsibility for your own budget
Conduct regular account reviews and tailor sales and service solutions to meet the needs of each client
Present and promote The Saint Wine portfolio, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge and our brands stories
Negotiate pricing and contracts, ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives
CRM platform management to capture customer data, needs and use insights to enhance individual and team performance
Oversee the implementation of successful wine list placements and promotional activities within accounts
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and identify new business opportunities in the on-premise sector
Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with industry General Managers, Food and Beverage Directors, Sommeliers and Industry Influencers
Prepare comprehensive sales reports and participate in sales team meetings
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years‘ experience in B2B sales within the wine and beverage industry
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships in the on-premise sector
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, understand needs and position value
Deep understanding of the Melbourne On-Premise scene, including current trends and customer preferences
Extensive knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and styles, experience of working with a wider drinks portfolio beneficial
Ability to work independently and as part of a results focused, commercially driven team
Excellent time management and organisational skills
