Eyecare Plus is looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team.
About the Company
Eyecare Plus is a member organisation made up of 120 independent optometry practices located across regional and metro areas within Australia. At Eyecare Plus National Office we provide our members with specialised support and services across a range of different areas including business administration, development and marketing.
About the role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our network and supporting our member practices to thrive. You’ll be the face of Eyecare Plus at industry events, a trusted advisor to our members, and a connector between our network and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting New Members: Actively identifying and engaging potential members to join our network, showcasing the value and opportunities available through membership.
Supporting Existing Members: Providing ongoing support to help current members expand their businesses, offering strategic guidance, resources, and connections.
Relationship Management: Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with both members and Strategic Partners to foster collaboration and mutual growth.
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the team to align business development efforts and share market insights.
Events: Organising and attending trade shows, represent and promote both Eyecare Plus and its members at industry events, conferences and member workshops.
Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree or min 5 yrs equivalent experience in a Business Development Role.
Experience in the optical industry, particularly optometry practice management will be highly regarded.
Previous experience working in a membership-based organisation or similar entities.
Proven track record of providing high levels of support and business advice in a small/medium business setting.
Strong business acumen and accountability for revenue targets through sales and service provision.
Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel for events and member engagement
