A leading not-for-profit association is seeking a Digital Marketing Officer to join their Canberra-based team in a permanent, full-time role.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Marketing professional with at least 3 years' experience to take the lead on outbound marketing and digital campaigns. Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Membership Manager, the role is responsible for delivering targeted campaigns across email, social media and the Association's website, with a strong focus on using the new CRM (iMIS) to segment audiences and deliver meaningful, data-driven communications.
A major focus of the role is leveraging the full capabilities of the new CRM system (iMIS) to deliver strategic, data-driven communications. This means developing and executing campaigns that go beyond generic messaging-using segmentation, audience insights, and behavioural data to tailor communications that truly resonate with members to achieve organisational objectives. Whether promoting events, courses, or advocacy initiatives, the goal is to ensure the right messages reach the right people at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, build and schedule email campaigns using Mailchimp and iMIS
- Manage and grow the ARA's social media presence across LinkedIn
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote ARA events, learning opportunities and advocacy work
- Coordinate and update website content via WordPress
- Use segmentation tools and CRM insights to optimise customer journeys
- Work with the in-house designer to create visual content for digital campaigns
- Produce and present monthly marketing performance reports
- Support the ongoing development of marketing automation and digital content strategy
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a digital marketing role
- Strong skills in email marketing and campaign management
- Demonstrated experience using CRM systems (must have previous or current CRM experience)
- Strong written skills - someone who brings a high level of attention to detail and proofreading
- Experience managing and growing social media accounts, particularly LinkedIn
- Experience with content management systems such as WordPress
- Sound understanding of digital analytics, reporting and SEO principles
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and check in proactively
Desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related field
- Experience in an association or membership-based organisation
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
- Experience with Microsoft365, Teams and SharePoint
