Details: Events ACT is looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our dynamic Event Development team. If you’re passionate about events, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to help shape Canberra’s vibrant event landscape, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As the Event Development Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of the ACT Event Fund and other event sector development initiatives. You’ll work closely with event organisers, community stakeholders, and government partners to ensure funding programs are delivered transparently and effectively. You’ll also help coordinate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and resources that build capacity across the local events sector.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and high-performing team that values creativity, professionalism, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional service to event organisers and the broader community.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until 31 January 2026 with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
