The Manly Skiff Sailing Club is seeking for a highly motivated CDP to join the crew, servicing our high-volume dining space.

With over 100 years of history, our club is the gem of Manly Cove that offers spectacular water views towards Sydney Harbour. The Club provides its members with sailing activities and the necessary resources to allow its sailing fleet to become one of the most competitive in Australia.

The Club itself offers two bars, a relaxed bistro with a seafood focus, a multipurpose function room, an incredible sun-kissed deck, and indoor-outdoor areas extending over the water with ample seating and shade. Complete waterfront dining in all its glory!

Key Responsibilities

Participate in preparing, cooking and serving main meals, snacks, desserts and other food products in accordance with the menu and on occasion preparing “off-menu” items. Do so in a thorough and efficient manner.

Clean and maintain the cooking and preparation areas and tools as required, and always after each service period

Supervising and providing directions for cooks and kitchen hands

Ensuring of food safety of dishes served to guests with special dietaries (allergies, intolerances)

Receive and check the quality of cooking materials

Ensuring sufficient quantity and quality of the food before serving

Maintaining correct storage of food

Ideal Candidates

Be experienced in a similar high volume casual dining venues, preferably upmarket pubs, hotels or restaurants

Have the flexibility necessary to work days, nights and weekends

Proficiency in the fryer and grill section

Above all else, have a passion for great food and great customer service
