The Practice

Located in Buderim, our financial planning practice has been trading for over 30 years. We specialise in working with Retirees and those close to retirement. Our advice is centred largely around investing, including super platforms, SMSFs, cash & share trading accounts.

It is a boutique practice with fewer than 200 Clients, and we are very client-focused. We love spending time with our clients both in person and on the phone. Our point of difference is the service we offer our clients. Many of our clients have been dealing with our practice for over 10 - 20 years and we have great working relationships.

It is a busy office, but we enjoy a relaxed and happy atmosphere and are very focused on offering a family-friendly work environment to our valued team. The 'fit' of our new Employee is more valued more to us than just the 'skill' - we want you to enjoy the work, feel fulfilled and ideally endure hanging around us!

The Role

Our existing Senior CSO is now transitioning to becoming a financial adviser. This has created an opportunity to find a new team member to join us in the role of Client Service Officer. The role offers lots of variety, a chance to build relationships with our valued Clients and suits someone who loves systems and processes.

A key advantage of working with a smaller group is that you work closely with and thus learn from experienced professionals. We know every practice is different and everyone has different methods - we are happy to provide lots of support to ensure the transition works for everyone.

Key Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Implementing & processing of all superannuation, pension and investment advice and applications according to the SoA / RoA recommendations;

Preparing files for Client review appointments;

Attending to general administrative matters, including answering client emails, phone calls, scanning and photocopying;

Liaising with various superannuation and investment platform providers;

Ensuring the practice's CRM is updated/maintained;

Keeping up to date with compliance and ensuring strict compliance with legislation and licensee standards.

We outsource our paraplanning so you not be required to prepare our SOA's.

Skills and experience

Ideally, you would have experience working in the Financial Planning industry or a background that shows you thrive in a busy environment and enjoy building systems and processes.

This role requires you to be able to multitask during the day, prioritise your workflow, and enjoy liaising with clients.

To succeed in this role you will possess the following:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;

Sound organisational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities in a timely manner evidenced by previous employment;

Excellent attention to detail;

Ability to adjust and work in a frequently changing environment;

Strong knowledge of XPLAN, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook OR a willingness to learn our systems and processes;

Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have high ethical values.

This is a full-time position for immediate start. We are open to part time for the right person if you prefer to work 4 days per week.
