The George Darby Hotel is located at the corner of King and Darby Street in Newcastle and is currently undergoing extensive transformation and refurbishment. We are looking to employ a number of chefs, cooks and kitchen hands to join our team commencing in around mid June 2025.

George Darby Hotel offers a public bar, casual dining space, formal restaurant space and a dedicated sports bar.

Our kitchen will be open to serve our customers 7 days per week from 11am until 10pm. It will be a fast-paced kitchen, serving high quality food to cater for all tastes, from a casual bite whilst enjoying live sport, to a formal meal with friends and family celebrating life’s special moments.

About You

Prior experience working as a Chef, cook or kitchen hand

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen

Team player

Excellent time management skills

A “can do” attitude
