Description of the Role

Due to the expansion of our business, we are currently looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team. The right candidate must have a passion to work with seasonal ingredients and a desire to deliver the best experience to our customers with proven Brazilian BBQ cooking experience to bring a multi-culture rich dining experience to our existing well-known restaurant in the heart of the Hunter Valley.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

Ensure food served is of a high standard of quality that meets customer’s expectations and satisfaction

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist

Check quality and quantity of food

Assist with inventory control & food costing management

Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality and appearance

Manage Brazilian BBQ cooking for various events/weekends on request

Ensure compliance with NSW food safety regulations

Supervise preparation, cooking and presentation

Provide input in menu development

Supervise and assist with training of kitchen staff in Brazilian BBQ Cooking

Manage minimal food wastage in preparation and service

Skills, Experience and Qualities

You must have:

Formal trade qualification in Commercial Cookery

Minimum 1 years experience working at a restaurant as a cook/chef

Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen

Proven Brazilian BBQ cooking experience

Flexible work attitude and good team work as well as the ability to work unsupervised

Must have a drivers licence or a reliable way to work

To be based within 30km of the Hunter Valley
