About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead a growing finance team focused predominantly on delivering lending solutions to Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) clients. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing our team of Finance Brokers, developing a dedicated support function, and ensuring the smooth flow of submissions and client service within our internal lending arm, Certainty Home Loans.

This is an office-based role that combines team leadership with hands-on operational involvement, ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of loan processes while delivering an exceptional client experience. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and detail-oriented, capable of elevating team performance and streamlining finance operations as we continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of three Finance Brokers, providing ongoing coaching, performance management, and operational support.

Recruit and build a high-performing support team including Broker Assistants and a Settlements Officer, with plans to further expand both the brokerage and internal lending teams.

Provide hands-on support where required to ensure client outcomes are achieved with urgency and precision.

Maintain a strong understanding of SMSF lending requirements and ensure compliance with best-practice processes.

Foster a collaborative, high-energy team culture that reflects our company values and commitment to client-first service.

Oversee the finance function of Certainty Home Loans, including:

Reviewing loan submissions prior to credit officer assessment.

Managing post-approval workflows including document preparation, solicitor liaison, and settlement coordination.

Identifying and resolving process bottlenecks to improve turnaround times and client satisfaction.

Recruit and develop a top-tier team to support the growth and evolution of the business.

Skills and Experience

Proven leadership experience in a financial services or lending environment.

Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking (highly regarded, but not essential).

Experience or working knowledge of SMSF lending (preferred, but not essential).

Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and build high-performing teams.

Process-oriented mindset with a passion for operational efficiency and outstanding client service.

Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment with the ability to pivot between strategic and hands-on tasks.
