Branch Manager
Proven Energy

About Proven Energy:
Proven Energy is an innovative renewable energy company based in Toowoomba, specialising in solar panel installations, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging solutions. We’d describe our business as a retail-facing construction style company with electricians, apprentices, sales team and admin making up our team of 20+.
We are different to most trade-based construction businesses in that our products are highly technically exciting and on the very cutting edge. Our entire industry advances quicker than regulation can keep up with and so we are constantly evolving and learning.
The industry as a whole is young and generally lacking in customer service and after sales support. This is where we try to be different - we are a company that is committed to striving for excellence in customer service!
About the Role:
We’re looking for a confident, dependable, and hands-on Branch Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations at our Toowoomba headquarters.
Reporting to and supported by the business owners, you will lead a team of electricians, apprentices, sales staff, accounts and admin. You’ll work closely with our Admin Officer to ensure the front office runs smoothly, support the install and sales teams in meeting their targets, and play a key role in driving overall branch performance.
This is not a behind-the-scenes role - you’ll be actively involved across all departments, helping people stay focused, solving problems early, and ensuring our customers have a consistently great experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all areas of the Toowoomba branch, providing structure and support to admin, accounts, sales, and installers
Work closely with the Admin Officer to manage priorities, scheduling, and customer communication
Oversee general stock control and procurement processes, and ensure warehouse systems remain functional and efficient
Run weekly meetings and/or toolbox talks to align priorities
Motivate and support your team to meet job targets, achieve KPIs, and deliver quality work
Act as the local face of Proven Energy - building relationships with customers, community groups, and industry contacts
Provide leadership and clarity to staff - making sure everyone understands their role, responsibilities, and priorities
Ensure policies and procedures are followed, and provide training or direction where needed
Act as the go-to problem-solver - addressing issues proactively before they escalate.
Provide accurate, timely reporting to the business owners on branch performance, job outcomes and customer satisfaction
Work closely with our Finance Manager to maintain accurate financial records, oversee purchasing and job costing, and ensure the branch remains aligned with financial goals.
Support business-wide improvements by identifying inefficiencies or communication gaps and recommending solutions
Maintain high standards of professionalism and service at every opportunity.
About You:
You’re dependable, organised, and comfortable making decisions - especially when things are busy or unclear. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty but you know how to lead others, set direction, and help a team stay on track. You thrive in a fast-moving, multi-tasking environment, and you’re passionate about creating a business that runs well, has a positive team culture, and supports both its people and customers.
Key qualities we’re looking for include:
Strong leadership experience - ideally in operations, trades, logistics, or construction
Proven ability to manage people, performance, and systems
Strong financial awareness, with the ability to work collaboratively with the Finance Manager to monitor budgets, track job costings, review purchasing decisions, and ensure the branch is meeting financial performance targets
Confident communicator and public speaker - clear, respectful, honest, and practical
Skilled at conflict resolution and handling difficult customer interactions
Able to prioritise, make clear decisions, and guide others through busy weeks
Confident using (or learning) business tools and software (Tradify, Hubspot, OpenSolar)
Willing to step in wherever needed - hands-on when it counts
Forklift licence or willing to obtain (occassionally required)
Qualifications in business, finance, management, sales, logistics or similar are highly regarded
Experience working as or with electricians, installers or trades teams is a strong advantage
Willingness to promote and represent the company in the community.
What We Offer:
Yearly employment bonus on your work anniversary (increases every year!).
Finish early every Friday and enjoy a 2-week shutdown during the Christmas Period.
Thrive in a workplace that values friendliness and supportive team interactions.
Position Background:
This is a newly created position, established in response to the recent Federal Government Battery Rebate. With strong demand and a proven track record, our business is well-positioned for significant growth. As the role evolves, there is scope for additional earning potential for the right person who can help us navigate and lead through this next phase.
Apply Now.
Please don't hesitate to apply as we will be reviewing applications as they come in and may close the position once we find the right candidate.
