About the Role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and performance of the company. This newly created role will focus on financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with ATO regulations. As the Finance Manager, you will lead a team of 2 onshore and 3 offshore finance professionals while reporting directly to the CEO and National Manager. You will be expected to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive business growth in the civil sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop and maintain company budgets and forecasts to support ongoing growth.
• Manage cash flow and ensure the company maintains appropriate working capital.
• Lead and oversee the finance team, including offshore personnel.
• Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams for accurate and timely processing.
• Collaborate with external accountants and manage ATO compliance and reporting.
• Provide regular financial updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Assist with financial modelling and business case analysis for growth initiatives.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role.
• CA/CPA qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Solid experience with ATO compliance, reporting, and external accountant collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial systems, particularly Xero.
