Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HR Officer with a strong background in workforce planning to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in aligning staffing strategies with operational needs, ensuring the company is well-resourced to meet current and future business demands. The successful candidate will work closely with department managers to assess workforce requirements, monitor staff deployment, and support strategic planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and implement workforce planning strategies across departments
Analyse staffing trends, turnover rates, and operational forecasts to identify workforce gaps
Collaborate with management on organisational structure, position planning, and workforce optimisation
Support recruitment processes by providing data-driven hiring recommendations
Coordinate onboarding and induction to ensure a seamless transition for new staff
Contribute to staff development, retention initiatives, and succession planning
Provide guidance on HR policies, compliance with Fair Work and relevant legislation
Support performance management and reporting processes
Maintain workforce data and reporting systems for management use
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience specifically in workforce planning or strategic HR planning
· Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
· Strong understanding of HR principles, workforce metrics, and data analytics
· Proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and workforce modelling tools
· Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
· Sound knowledge of modern awards and employment law (especially Fair Work Act)
· High attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management abilities
· A proactive, solution-focused approach with strong ethical standards
