The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) is a comprehensive, sophisticated central corporate services agency. We provide a unified enterprise-wide approach to deliver corporate and digital services to Northern Territory Government (NTG) agencies, providing expert advice and developing transformative solutions.
Positioned within DCDD, the Agency Procurement Services division provides centralised procurement and contact administration services to client agencies in accordance with Agency Procurement Services’ Service Statement, the Northern Territory Government Procurement Framework and Buy Local Policy. Services include advice and support to agencies in the preparation of tender and contract documentation procurement assessments, contract award and contract management advice.
Currently, there are several AO4 and AO5 positions available in the Procurement Services team for experienced procurement professionals and those looking to further develop their career. Applicants will be assessed against both levels and shortlisted based on their level of experience and suitability to the role.
Procurement Support Officer’s (AO4), under the guidance of a Senior Procurement Officer provide customer focussed procurement advice and support services to clients, assist in the preparation of procurement quotation documentation, and ensure all outputs are compliant with relevant policy and legislation. Knowledge and understanding of procurement systems and frameworks, procurement and contract administration or demonstrated transferrable skills with the ability to acquire knowledge is essential.
Procurement Officers (AO5), provide customer focussed procurement assistance and advice to enable clients to make informed decisions in accordance with the NTG Procurement Framework, prepare procurement tender and quotation documents, and prepare tender specific evaluation reports to assist client s to undertake tender assessment. Sound knowledge and understanding of procurement police and legislation with the capability to prepare procurement documentation in a public or private sector environment is essential.
Both roles require well-developed communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills, high level attention to detail, experience using the full range of MS Office and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
A Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting, or Business Administration would be well received.
