Facility Manager – Aged Care | Mackay Region

We’re working with a well-established aged care provider in Mackay that’s seeking a dedicated Facility Manager to lead a modern, large sized residential aged care facility set within beautifully maintained grounds. About the Role:
As Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and operational management of the aged care site. Reporting to the Head of Aged Care, you will ensure high-quality service delivery, compliance with Aged Care Standards, and effective team management. You will play a key role in maintaining occupancy levels, financial performance, and fostering a positive, supportive culture for staff, residents, and families alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support care teams to deliver person-centred, high-quality care
• Ensure operational efficiency and financial sustainability of the facility
• Drive compliance with all legislative and regulatory standards
• Maintain high resident and family satisfaction through strong communication and service delivery
• Promote a collaborative, respectful workplace culture aligned with the organisation’s values

About You:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior management role within aged care or healthcare
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or related field (highly regarded)
• Current AHPRA registration and clinilca background
• Sound understanding of aged care funding models (ACFI/AN-ACC) and aged care legislation
• Strong leadership, people management, and financial acumen
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to person-centred care, service excellence, and continuous improvement
