Work options: Hybrid
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Senior IR/ER Partner to join our high-performing and supportive Employee Relations team within the People & Culture function. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about industrial relations, has experience working in a highly unionised environment, enjoys working through complex industrial disputes and is not adverse to the challenges that can arise with matters in the IR/ER space.
More than 2.7 million people across New South Wales rely on us every day for the supply of safe and reliable power to their homes and businesses. We employ more than 1,700 people across our catchment, making us one of the largest employers in Sydney’s Greater West.
To work with us in this role, you don’t need to have any energy industry experience, but you will need to have solid industrial relations experience and a demonstrated ability to work through complex IR & ER matters to achieve sensible and pragmatic outcomes.
Why this role matters now
We've recently completed a complex enterprise bargaining process, which included lengthy bargaining negotiations and industrial action, culminating in an intractable bargaining process.
We need to reset and reframe following this process and this is a great opportunity to be part that journey and to get exposure to some career defining IR experiences that you won’t experience in many organisations.
About the Role
- Lead and advise on complex and sensitive IR and ER matters across the business
- Coordinate and lead dispute resolution processes, often in direct engagement with union representatives
- Support stakeholders in navigating performance, conduct, grievance, and health-related cases with fairness and compliance
- Represent Endeavour Energy in external forums such as the Fair Work Commission
- Play a key role in consultation and redundancy processes tied to business change initiatives
- Provide strategic advice that informs our evolving industrial relations position
- Support the implementation and ongoing interpretation of our new Enterprise Agreement and future bargaining agreements
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in employee relations (ideally within a large, highly unionised or regulated organisation)
- Strong working knowledge of Australian industrial and employment law
- A collaborative, resilient approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Experience with or exposure to complex enterprise bargaining is highly desirable
- Legal qualifications or 3–5 years PQE in employment/labour law or very solid IR/ER experience will be highly regarded
What’s in it for you?
- Be part of a high-impact, specialist team that plays a pivotal role in business strategy
- Gain exposure to a wide variety of ER challenges across field, operations, and corporate teams
- Work in an organisation that is at the forefront of the energy transition
- Competitive salary and benefits ($200k-230k package plus bonus), including flexible work options and genuine career development opportunities
