MARS are partnering with a leading financial institution to find a Senior Finance Business Partner to lead a high performing team, focused on delivering insightful financial performance reporting and partnering with business leaders to drive commercial outcomes.

The Opportunity:
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor and finance leader supporting a key business unit. You'll combine your deep banking experience and management accounting expertise to provide robust performance reporting, targeted financial analysis, and proactive forecasting.

In this role, you will lead a team of two finance specialists and work closely with executives and senior management to deliver timely insights that inform business decisions and contribute to the bank's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the assigned business unit's executive and leadership teams, acting as a finance SME and trusted partner.
• Deliver accurate, insightful, and timely monthly performance reporting and commentary that validates financial results and highlights key risks and opportunities.
• Lead the annual target setting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring commercial drivers and economic indicators are incorporated with no reliance on placeholder assumptions.
• Drive business performance by providing forward-looking analysis and scenario planning to support strategic decisions on ROE, PACC, CTI, and other critical metrics.
• Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of management reporting methodologies and digital reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI) tailored to the business unit's needs.
• Influence business strategies by identifying value pools, emerging trends, and operational levers to support sustainable growth and cost management.
• Coach, mentor, and manage your team, ensuring high performance and ongoing development in a collaborative, supportive environment.
• Actively engage with finance colleagues across the organisation to contribute to broader finance initiatives and represent the performance measurement function in key projects.

About You:

• Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/CFA or equivalent) with 8+ years post-qualification experience.
• Extensive banking and financial services experience, with strong expertise in retail and wholesale banking business models (essential).
• Proven leadership experience managing a team in a financial performance, FP&A, or finance business partnering capacity.
• Deep knowledge of management accounting concepts including return on equity, profit after capital charge, and cost-to-income drivers.
• Advanced skills in financial reporting, business analytics, forecasting, and budgeting within a complex financial institution.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders with data-driven insights.
