About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic, family owned team at Alpha Omega Family Practice in Ellenbrook, Western Australia. As a casual Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent and friendly administrative support at our busy medical practice.

Hours

Flexible to work 22 hrs - 27 hrs a week as requested by management. With the possibility to enter a fulltime contract of 38 hrs a week, when the position becomes available. Our practice hours are Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner

Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's appointment calendar

Handling patient enquiries and providing information about the practice's services

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical history

Assisting with the processing of medical billing and insurance claims

Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presented to a high standard

Providing general administrative support to the wider medical team as required

What we're looking for

Previous Medical Receptionist and Best Practice software experience is essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, medical staff and other stakeholders

Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

Proficient in using medical practice management software and standard office software applications

A friendly, empathetic and professional approach, with a genuine passion for providing high-quality patient care

Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
