Our Venue:
Situated in the heart of Sydney's CBD, the Building is made up of two state of the art buildings operating under one roof. Within the operation The Big Group manages all the hospitality for 8,500 employees and across multiple floors of meeting rooms, large event spaces, café outlets and an Event Centre that caters up to 1000 people.
Our meeting room and client floors offer personalised high-touch service for meetings, executive dining and formal events.
Across the entire building, we offer a vast array of service styles and dining/menu options all produced onsite and led by our Executive Chef with a large focus on creativity, taste, local produce and nutrition.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Front of House Boardroom Supervisor to oversee our MRE (Meeting Room & Events) team, delivering premium hospitality services to our internal corporate client. It is a Monday-Friday role, mostly daytime but with flexibility to work nights as events require.
Main Duties:
- Assist the Operations Manager to oversee the daily hospitality operations of the area/level, ensuring to achieve KPI's of service standards.
- Plan for and coordinate the execution of bookings and events in the area which could range anywhere from 2-200pax formal dining menus, conferences, cocktail parties or meeting room catering.
- Manage the FOH team working in the area including induction, allocation, training, performance improvement, rostering and timesheets with support from the staffing team.
- Maintain a strong coffee culture by continually training new baristas and upskilling the team.
- Create and maintain collateral for the area, such as templates, checklists, processes and supportive imagery.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Exceptional leadership skills within the hospitality industry, leading large teams in events.
- Experience working in a corporate setting or with corporate clients, delivering fine-dining catering service.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Full working rights.
