Primarily Office-Based (4 days/week - 1 day WFH on Fridays)

An exceptional opportunity is available for a highly organised and experienced Business Manager to support the General Manager of a global insurance brand, based in the Sydney CBD. This role offers the chance to work at a strategic level within a fast-paced, high-performing environment, supporting a senior manager across diary management, operational coordination, strategic reporting, and internal communications.
This position is ideally suited to a confident and proactive professional who can operate autonomously, navigate competing priorities with ease, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Diary Management
Oversee a complex executive calendar, managing high volumes of meeting requests and ensuring critical activities are prioritised.
Monitor a fast-moving inbox to identify priority items, flag urgent matters, and ensure timely follow-up.
Resolve scheduling conflicts and plan ahead to allocate time for strategic and operational tasks.
Strategic Reporting & Coordination
Lead the preparation of monthly divisional reports, including managing inputs from multiple stakeholders and ensuring clarity, consistency, and timeliness.
Maintain and update SharePoint reporting templates, distribute to relevant teams, and ensure completion to a high standard.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure reporting aligns with divisional objectives and clearly communicates key priorities.
People & Operational Administration
Coordinate HR and recruitment administration, including processing NUR forms, tracking people-related activity, and liaising with internal teams.
Support the Manager in managing key operational deadlines and business-as-usual processes.
Assist with ad hoc tasks and ensure operational continuity during periods of leave or transition.
Internal Communications
Draft and distribute a well-regarded internal newsletter, requiring strong writing skills and the ability to craft engaging, informative content.
Maintain a consistent communication tone and support the executive’s internal messaging across the division.
Finance & Meeting Coordination
Manage monthly and quarterly cost centre approvals, working in conjunction with the finance lead.
Support leadership team meetings by preparing agendas, capturing actions, and ensuring timely follow-up and completion of deliverables.
About You
Proven experience in an executive support, business manager, or strategic operations role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Highly proactive, organised, and capable of working autonomously with limited oversight.
Comfortable in high-pressure environments, with the ability to manage competing demands effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders and build productive relationships across teams.
