About Us:

Just Living is a proud registered NDIS provider delivering exceptional, person-centred care across South Australia – and we’re growing!

Specialising in community participation, in-home support, improved daily living, short-term accommodation, and supported independent living (SIL), we’re on the lookout for a Rostering Manager to join our vibrant team as soon as possible. Based in our Norwood office on The Parade, you’ll play a key role in ensuring seamless service delivery through effective rostering, staff coordination, and administrative support.

In return, you’ll enjoy being part of a close-knit, supportive team, a vibrant and positive workplace culture, team events, after work activities, and a genuinely fun and rewarding environment where your work makes a real difference.

If you're passionate about tailored support, building real connections, and making a meaningful impact for staff, participants, and their families – we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:

Oversee the coordination and day-to-day management of support worker schedules, ensuring efficient and timely rostering for NDIS participants across Just Living.

Forward planning rosters 2-4 weeks in advance to ensure smooth coverage of shifts and daily rostering changes are managed with ease.

Verifying weekly timesheets in preparation for payroll with accuracy and attention to detail.

Manage the balance of permanent and casual staff members to ensure contractual obligations are met.

Act as a key point of contact between participants, support staff, and internal teams to ensure consistent and effective shift coverage.

Proactively manage roster changes in response to evolving participant needs, staff availability, and service priorities.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shifts, staff hours, and participant preferences in our rostering systems in conjunction with our HR team.

Provide clear guidance and ongoing support to support workers regarding their schedules, responsibilities, and roster updates.

Respond promptly to staff leave requests and unplanned absences, organising replacements and adjusting rosters as needed to maintain continuity of care.

Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and compliance with absenteeism protocols via our rostering systems in conjunction with our HR team.

Handle incoming calls with professionalism, providing support, information, and timely follow-ups as needed.

You will be part of a shared 7-day on-call roster and will receive attractive hourly remuneration for your commitment and availability.

About You:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

Roster Coordination and Scheduling Experience:

Demonstrated experience managing staff rosters in a disability, mental health, aged care, or community services setting (essential).

Understanding of and ability to interpret the Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 and apply to the Roster (essential).

Familiarity with rostering platforms.

Available to share a 7-day on-call roster after hours (with full support from the Senior Management Team).

NDIS / Health Sector Knowledge:

Experience working in or supporting NDIS participants or similar care-based frameworks.

Understanding of NDIS compliance requirements, including worker screening, mandatory training, and service delivery expectations.

Crisis and Leave Management Experience:

Demonstrated ability to manage last-minute changes, fill shifts on short notice, and handle staff absenteeism or leave with minimal disruption to service delivery.

Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management:

Experience working closely with frontline staff, participants, families, and internal teams to coordinate care and resolve rostering issues professionally.

Strong Administrative Skills

Proficient in data entry, document management, and using various IT platforms. A keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise competing tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Desirable (but non-essential):

Prior experience with compliance audits or quality assurance processes.

Experience with payroll and timesheet verification.

Experience with the rostering program ShiftCare.

Immediate Start!
