About the role

ac.care is seeking a Finance and Payroll Officer to work collaboratively as a team member within the organisation to provide efficient finance and payroll processing services.

The Finance and Payroll Officer is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, credit card, employee reimbursement, payroll and other transactional processes to meet all legislative requirements.

The role will communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on assisting with outcomes for clients whilst maintaining a high level of internal controls.

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:

Tertiary or formal qualifications in Business Administration, Accountancy or Commerce or related field and/or relevant years demonstrated experience attained through previous appointments.

Demonstrated experience in operating a computerised financial management and payroll system e.g. accounts payable and receivable, including raising purchase orders.

Demonstrated knowledge and application of GST, PAYG and BAS requirements including industrial agreements and awards.

Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret and analyse data creating reports.

Developed communication skills (listening, verbal and written), including the ability to establish rapport and maintain a positive relationship with staff and other service providers.

Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, take initiative and work independently, set priorities, plan and organise workload and problem solve to achieve finance and payroll specified outcomes.

Special Conditions

Current SA driver’s licence ‘Class C’ or interstate equivalent.

Current Satisfactory Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.

Current Satisfactory National Police Check or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.

Child Safe Environment Certificate or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.
