The Manager of the Swim School is a pivotal role responsible for efficient and effective operation of the swim school facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career growth. The Manager will work closely with the Field Manager, receiving mentorship and guidance to develop the necessary skills to lead a centre as Manager. Position reports to: Field Manager
Key external relationships: Staff, swimmers and families
Key Accountabilities and Deliverables
Operational Support:
• Collaborate with the Field Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the swim school.
• Manage staffing and programming.
• Monitor swim school activities to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for students.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of Splash’s policies and procedures.
Leadership and Mentorship:
• Work closely with the Field Manager, learning and developing skills necessary to become a successful leader and swim school manager.
• Support and provide guidance to swim instructors and staff members.
• Participate in staff training, meetings, and onboarding of new staff.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
Customer Service Excellence:
• Deliver exceptional customer service to parents, students, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with resolving customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, promoting a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
Program Development:
• Collaborate with the Field Manager in developing and improving swim school programs.
• Plan and organise staff training, special events, competitions, and other swim school activities.
• Identify opportunities for program expansion and growth, making recommendations to enhance the overall experience for students.
Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility and swimming equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and student progress.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and trends related to swim school operations.

Health and Safety
You will be required to:
• Promote a positive safety culture by contributing to health and safety consultation and communication, and through active participation in the reporting of hazards, incidents and near misses.
• Take reasonable care for your own health and safety, and for the health and safety of others.
• Adhere to the Splash’s policies, procedures, work practices and standard operating procedures.
To enable Splash’s to meet its obligations for providing a healthy and safe working environment for you, you must inform the Director of any issues which may impact your ability to safely perform your role.
Position Requirements / Selection Criteria
• Strong knowledge of swim school operations, and safety procedures.
• Previous experience in a swim school environment or similar aquatic facility.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with customers and staff.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks effectively.
• TSW Accreditation, CPR and Working with Children’s Check.
• Proficiency in using computer software and UDIO management systems.
• Strong commitment to Splash’s company culture (The three C's: Care, Collaboration, and Commitment).
• Availability to work weekday evenings and weekends (see below)
Conditions of Employment
• The successful applicant will hold a current Working with Children Check. (Vulnerable sector check)
• Senior Customer Service experience
• Valid swim teacher qualification
• Valid CPR certificate
• Must be available to work two (2) PM shifts and one (1) weekend shift
