Position Purpose:

The position requires day to day management and success of our Docklands club, ensuring the facility is a leader within Australian padel. Your role requires effective communication, strong leadership and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Club operations and facility management

Oversee the daily running of the club, including management of all programs (e.g. coaching, socials, leagues, etc.) and court hire.

Ensure the facility is well-maintained and meet safety standards.

Ensure the courts are maintained and kept in a highly presentable and playable condition.

Manage security, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the venue.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, liquor licensing & food handling regulations.

Oversee and be responsible for the performance across multiple areas including Coaching, Programs, Events and Retail.

Programs and event management

Coordinate and manage coaching programs, club tournaments, social padel, leagues and external events within company guidelines.

Liaise with the Leadership Team, sponsors, and external groups to organise functions.

Oversee venue bookings, staffing and delivery of private events, ensuring smooth execution.

Coordinate and manage scheduling and logistics for Club leagues, fixtures and competitions.

Team leadership

Organise fortnightly staff roster and complete weekly payroll and timesheet management

Foster the growth and development of your team (and new team members) through timely training and one-to-one coaching, ensuring their personal satisfaction and long-term career progression.

Managing staff, including recruiting, hiring and training new team members.

Customer service and membership

Provide a welcoming and professional environment for all players, patrons and guests.

Handle booking and membership inquiries, renewals, and engagement initiatives.

Address member concerns and feedback promptly.

Promote club culture and foster a strong sense of community.

Ensure a high level of patron satisfaction by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, as well as delivering exceptional customer service.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest padel trends, managing up effectively, providing recommendations to senior leadership to improve member experiences.

Financial and budget management and performance

Assist in managing Club finances, including programs, retail, cafe and event revenue.

Monitor expenses & provide input to annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Marketing and community engagement

Manage local area marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and membership growth.

Promote the Club through social media, newsletters, and community outreach.

Build relationships with local businesses, sponsors, and community groups.

Organise open days, sponsorship events, and promotional activities.
