About Mawarnkarra Health Service (MHS)
Mawarnkarra (MHS) is the largest primary health care provider providing direct services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the Roebourne area. MHS provides the families of Roebourne with a fully functional and accredited Clinic that treats approximately 3,000 people per year.

The Position
The Clinical Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving nursing standards and clinical operations in a culturally safe manner. Overseeing on the ground delivery of clinic operations for patient screening, vaccinations and health promotions. Managing program areas, such as the Child and Maternal, Integrated Team Care and Chronic Disease teams. Managing and coordinating delivery across multiple locations. The Clinical Manager plays a leadership role in Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement.
This role is not directly responsible for administrative support of clinical activities, however, will work alongside the Practice Manager to support efficient operations

The Requirements
Maintain and improve nursing standards delivering consistent care
Ensuring your teams services meet the changing needs of clients or patients through proper strategic planning
Effective delivery of Child and Maternal Health clinical services
Understand the Integrated Team Care program and ensure delivery within guidelines and across the Pilbara (with support from Business Development Manager)
Enhance the delivery of chronic disease care for patients
Management of dental health operations
Ensure Equipment checks are completed and documented
Manage Vaccine supplies and ensure cold chain management
Resuscitation trolley management, ensuring audit in place and documented
Review and improve Infection control procedures with documentation of infection control audits
Coordinate and deliver the annual health promotion calendar. Ensure relevant health promotion items and delivery across the year.
Understanding/knowledge on optimisation of Medicare and Practice Incentive payment by your team
Meet with the Senior Medical Officer regularly to review Medicare/PIP for you staff and to seek quality improvement opportunities or as required.
Improve the optimization of Practice Incentive Payments and Tier benefits.
Work alongside Practice Manager and Business Development Manager to ensure data governance in place for Communicare. To ensure data quality, security, and compliance, ultimately improving the reliability and trustworthiness of the data.
The Clinical Manager has administrator rights for Communicare, ensuring compliance with procedures on changes made to any aspect of Communicare.
Other Requirements
Must hold current RN Registration with AHPRA.
Minimum 5+ years Post Grad experience with direct experience managing staff and leading clinical activities
Must hold a current NDIS Worker Screening when role is to work with those with a disability.
Consent to undergo a Working With Children Check and a National Police Certificate. Employment is conditional pending the outcome of these checks.
Must hold a current Australian Drivers Licence.
Current CPR Certificate.
All employees are subject to regular random drug and alcohol screening.
Attend and participate in the professional development program and relevant external seminars and conferences, as approved
Remuneration Benefits include:
Salary of $148,488 - $151,543
11.5% Superannuation
Housing and District allowances (subject to eligibility)
Full-Time hours: Monday - Friday
