The opportunity
We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team on a Fixed Term Full-Time basis, 9 days per fortnight may be considered. For this role you will be a collaborative and supportive leader providing direction and best care framework clinical practice and standards across the nursing delivery service within our Hospital in the Home service, Kingsley Based, WA.
Our home hospital service assists clients to remain at home and out of the hospital. We find that home is a more comfortable, less stressful environment and can improve the quality of life for clients, family and carers. Care is provided both in home and in our community clinics, depending on the treatment required. Home and clinic visits may be scheduled between 7 am and 9 pm, with phone-based nursing support available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Key Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Senior Registered Nurse with proven leadership experience and a strong commitment to ensuring positive outcomes for Silver Chain clients in their home. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, supervising, supporting and providing education within your team, be the point of escalation for clinical concerns and provide clinical support for continued provision of quality care.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will meet the following criteria:
• Current registration with AHPRA
• 5+ years' experience in a clinical leadership role
• Current Working with Children's Check
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, manage and support a team
• An understanding of the Scope of Nursing Practice decision making to provide effective clinical advice and supervision
• A flexible approach together with decision making, negotiation, influencing and advanced problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated understanding of Aged, Community and Health care
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic and flexible approach
• Current Australian drivers' licence
