The Opportunity: FIFO Site Manager
Are you a driven and experienced construction professional looking for an exciting Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) opportunity? As a Site Manager with our client, you will play a pivotal role in managing all on-site activities for their diverse projects. You'll be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of stimulating projects and contribute to the ongoing success of an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Project Planning: Collaborate with management on planning, scheduling, and preparing all project aspects; develop key documentation to mitigate risks; determine resource requirements within budget constraints; coordinate site logistics, including travel and accommodation; and place timely orders.
- Construction Site Management: Oversee all site activities, ensuring project milestones are achieved; manage projects to meet deadlines and overall programs; liaise with the Project Manager on financial matters; maintain current project documentation and ensure effective communication; coordinate and manage subcontractors; review daily tasks to ensure quality, program, and budget adherence; monitor compliance with building standards, safety, and environmental legislation; and prepare progress reports.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage site teams, ensuring adherence to our clients requirements and safety responsibilities; develop strong working relationships with stakeholders; and support marketing and communication objectives.
- Compliance and Improvement: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, quality standards, identify and implement improvements in client service and administration; and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ): Oversee SHEQ compliance and address safety risks immediately; ensure the implementation of SHEQ training, responsibilities, and corrective actions; and implement and monitor QA and Environmental Management systems.
What You'll Bring:
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction or equivalent experience.
- Proven success in leading and managing teams to achieve project objectives on time and within budget.
- Understanding of site administration for small to medium contracts.
- Willingness to undertake FIFO work and travel to various project sites, including remote locations.
