About the Role
We are recruiting a Business Manager to join a groundbreaking research initiative, establish and drive the foundational work of a nationally significant project.
The First Nations Disability Footprints Program is a transformative new research initiative at the forefront of Indigenous disability sector reform. The First Nations Disability Research Footprints program, delivered in partnership with the First Peoples Disability Network and funded through the Australian Government's Disability Sector Strengthening Plan under Closing the Gap.
This is a pivotal new role designed to support and grow a disability sector that meets the needs of Indigenous communities. You will lead the development of business and administrative systems, build strong engagement with Indigenous partners and government stakeholders, manage reporting and compliance, support new funding opportunities, oversee project budgets, and coordinate day-to-day operations for the research team and Chief Investigator.

About You
If you are an organised, proactive leader who is passionate about creating real-world impact in partnership with First Nations communities, this is your opportunity to help shape the future of inclusive disability research in Australia. To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in working in or with Indigenous communities and/or disability organisations essential
- Completion of an undergraduate or post qualification
- A working knowledge of Indigenous community organisations and their organisational practices
- Knowledge and application of research management and administration

What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $119,041 to $135,575 pa (HEW 8) plus 17% superannuation
This position is full-time and appointment will be made on 2-year fixed term basis.
