About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a boutique property development firm as their Management Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time / part time available) role will be based in Neutral Bay, NSW office. You will play a pivotal part in supporting the strategic direction of the business through proactive financial analysis and reporting.

What you'll be doing

Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements

Forecasting and budgeting, including developing and monitoring key performance indicators

Providing commercial and strategic advice to the leadership team based on your financial analysis

Acquisitions & Disposals: Providing analytical support for property transactions and settlement statements.

Treasury & Compliance: Assisting with project finance applications and ensuring compliance.

Property & Project Accounting: Managing leasing information, tenant invoicing, and outgoing reconciliations.

Assisting with the implementation of new accounting systems and processes

Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects and business initiatives

What we're looking for

Experience in a similar management accounting role, ideally within the property or construction industry

Strong technical accounting skills with excellent attention to detail

Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting

Commercially-minded, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the business

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
