Figure 3 Constructions is a Melbourne-based construction company known for delivering high-quality residential and commercial building projects. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, professionalism, and client-focused approach. We're seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our close-knit team 1-2 days per week for a 12-month maternity leave contract.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of the business, providing accurate reporting and financial insights, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting processes. This is a flexible, autonomous role ideal for someone with construction industry experience and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage all accounting tasks using Xero

· Track and report on project financials via Buildertrend

· Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations

· Prepare monthly financial and cash flow reports

· Oversee BAS, super, and compliance obligations

· Liaise with external accountants, suppliers, and team members

· Provide financial insights to support decision-making

About You

· Experience in a similar Finance Manager or senior bookkeeping role

· Proficient in Xero and Buildertrend (essential)

· Background in construction or a related industry is a plus

· Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach

· Excellent communication and organisational skills

· Relevant qualifications in Finance or Accounting (CA/CPA not essential)
