Your Role:

Leadership Onsite: Dive into the heart of our operations at our bustling Keilor Park office. Your role will be pivotal in steering our financial helm. As the Finance Manager, you'll embody the spirit of leadership, taking charge of a diverse range of financial responsibilities. Your presence onsite will not only anchor our financial team but also drive the strategic direction of our financial operations, ensuring we stay ahead in the dynamic world of machinery and robotic manufacturing.

Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

Financial Management & Reporting

Prepare and oversee financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually).

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.

Manage cash flow, forecasting and liquidity.

Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, superannuation, government grants and incentives, and banking functions.

Manage payroll tax and workcover in two different states.

Preparation of business activity statements and instalment activity statements.

Maintain internal controls and ad-hoc reporting for the stakeholders.

Preparation & management of payroll

Budgeting & Forecasting

Lead the budgeting process for the company revenue, costs and overheads

Conduct financial forecasts, variance analysis and Profit & Loss analysis.

Support project teams with financial forecasting.

Project Accounting & Cost Control

Track project costs, revenues and profitability.

Ensure accurate job costing and monitor project budgets.

Manage work-in-progress calculations and provide financial insights to project teams.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting standards.

Manage audits, insurance, leases and trade finance facilities.

Handle supplier and subcontractor credit terms and trading conditions.

Technology & System Management

Implement and optimise financial systems.

Enhance process automation and maintain accurate project cost data.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will join bringing to the table the following skills and prior experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field. (CPA or CA qualifications)

A minimum of 5 years in a finance role, preferably in engineering or infrastructure. Prior experience in the manufacturing industry would be desirable.

Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, understanding of intercompany operations (loans and journals).

High level experience with Excel, MYOB AccountRight, CRM's, payment gateways and interconnected systems.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Strong leadership and team management abilities, fostering a culture of excellence.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
