About the role

Abbots and Kinney is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cafe Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in our Adelaide cafe. As the Cafe Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bustling cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient workflow. This is a full-time position based in our Adelaide location.

What you'll be doing

Manage all cafe operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and financial reporting

Provide strong leadership and mentoring to the cafe team, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Develop and implement efficient systems and procedures to optimise cafe performance

Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies

Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner

Implement and manage strategic systems to help improve business efficiency and productivity

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a cafe or restaurant operations management role

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service

Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting

Thorough understanding of food safety and health regulations

Proven experience in implementing operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives

Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
